We originate and develop projects to produce green hydrogen and green ammonia for maritime customers.

Our strategy is to leverage our owners’ industrial history and attract the right partners to become Norway’s number one green energy provider for the maritime sector.

Established to enable the green shift

Our first project, the Eydehavn Green Ammonia — North Ammonia facility, is located in Arendal, Norway. The project consists of developing and constructing a electrolysis and ammonia plant including a bunkering facility directly at the Eydehavn Port. The facility is strategically located directly at the Eydehavn port, with a large secured plot and access to necessary infrastructure. The location also directly accesses the Skagerrak, Norwegian West-Coast, Southern regions and Oslofjord maritime operational areas.

The green ammonia plant is planned to be operational in 2027/28. North Ammonia has an ambition to become the leading green ammonia provider in Norway, in line with the Norwegian hydrogen strategy and the required decarbonization of maritime transport.
